Our Livelihoods Programme provides opportunities for self-employment and entrepreneurship. Students are charged a nominal fee and the Asia Plateau conference centre often provides a ready market for their products.
We offer a sewing certification class for women that qualifies them for a government subsidized sewing machine upon completion of the course. The class promotes both income generation as well as village unity – community building efforts by Grampari have resulted in high caste and low caste women overcoming their differences and attending the classes together.
In partnership with the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), the solar lantern course provides self-employment opportunities for village youth by teaching both technical and entrepreneurship skills. Students learn how to assemble, maintain and market solar lanterns in an intensive two-month course.
Grampari hosts a well-equipped Computer Lab with an internet connection. We provide e-learning based MS-CIT training and basic computer education.
Apart from above programmes we also provide small-scale industry training in Leaf Plate Making, Knitting, Embroidery, Mobile Repair and Brick Making.
